Eddie Meyer, icon of hot rodding... also sold airplanes. I just learned that


in the far upper right hand corner of the above photo is a sign, it says Eddie Meyer something something


in 1946, Eddie Meyer sold used airplanes on Vermont and Third. The aircraft were transported by using vacant strips of land as makeshift runways. Most likely they were WW2 military surplus, or planes so obsolete for most purposes, and now replaced by the flood of surplus WW2 planes, that they were more useless than used cars
